This credit union, with 54,778 members and assets of $858,972,909, is headquartered in Lowell, Massachusetts. Their communications center on their long history and longstanding commitment to the surrounding community. Challenge: To bring new members into the credit union through a simplified Web portal and to promote loans for pre-owned vehicles. Approach: In Massachusetts, the car business is very aggressive, with dealers currently offering 0% on new cars. It’s very difficult for any financial institution to compete with them. Raoust+Partners worked with Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union to launch Drive, a Web portal which allowed members and prospective members to simply and easily go through the loan application process. We capitalized on the fact that people are already shopping or going to the Web to get vehicle and loan information. Drive, an optimized Web page and another gateway into the credit union, comes up on the top of search pages in the region. Drive was designed to allow people to easily check a loan rate, calculate their monthly payment, become a member of the credit union, get pre-approved, and be done. Drive also links to book values and other information car shoppers may want. In this campaign's first month, Jeanne D’Arc has handled 70 loan applications through Drive.
